Holding Families Together: Meet Erin and Summer

Newly widowed and single mom, Erin, stayed at Ronald McDonald House, where she received the care and support she needed during this trying time.

This post by Holly Homer, author of the Kids Activites Blog, is one in a series that will highlight "kid charities" this year. Holly shares the story of Erin and her daughter Summer, who suffered from a neck injury after being in a car accident that took the life of Erin's husband. “Hey, we have a bed and food,” was the first thing Erin heard and exactly the comforting support she needed.
